And where are you taking that information from? Your arse?

Again, I'll repeat: stop projecting. You opened this discussion by accusing me of not actually knowing anything about Buddhism or having any contact with the original cultures. Guess who you were actually talking about? Yourself, dear.

If THAT is how you interpret the whole idea of "karma", it's evidently clear you've never read a Buddhist text in your life and would rather rely on pop culture stereotypes about it. This is not very different from conspiracy theorists who rely solely on stereotypes about science and start spreading nonsense misinformation. Both you and those people are solely speaking from a "he-said-she-said" perspective.

So, before vomiting all your prejudice on random people on the Internet like that, try actually reading legit sources about the subject-matter first.

Perhaps your arrogance won't let you listen to this here, but that's okay, I'll direct my next words to any lurker who might have two braincells to spare: no religion is perfect, and neither is my religion. There are problems in Buddhism, which I've been talking about extensively (if you care to take your head off the goddamn sand and go read my own blog for starters), but "anti-science dogma" is luckily not one of these problems. Unless, of course, you count the few Western quacks who call themselves Buddhist but couldn't name their teacher or sangha, which means no they aren't, they're just doing good old cultural appropriation and there's nothing new under the sun. No Buddhist scholar has EVER - in the whole 2 millennia and a half of the religion's existence - defended anti-science rhetoric, quite on the contrary, if you learn even the basics about Buddhist tenets, you'll see that the entire premise behind meditative practices is freeing yourself from rigid thought patterns that could result in dogma (among other problems)... So it would be completely antithetical for this philosophy to turn around and say, "let's regulate women's uteruses, spread fear about big pharma and NGOs, and support anti-vax rhetoric". Which is precisely why these problems did not originate, nor thrive, in the East.
