Ya know, this reminds me that recently I dealt with a """friend""" that tried to convince me her invasive attempt to force me to face some of my issues before I was ready was the right thing to do "because she works as a therapist and knows what she's talking about". And when I said thanks but no thanks, she took it as a personal offense against her and started to shut down any mention of anything slightly negative in my life because apparently I was "forcing her to get into topics we've already agreed not to discuss". Eventually, we parted ways in bad terms. And now I'm thankful we did. Holy moly, that was extremely toxic.
